Indoor Ensemble

Indoor Drumline is an after school class. The
Chantilly Indoor Ensemble is comprised of two elements: Battery - or
marching Drumline; and Pit - which includes concert percussion and keyboard
instruments such as vibes and marimba. Students do not have to be percussionists to
join!
Atlantic Indoor Association (AIA) is
the local circuit that includes groups from Maryland,
Virginia, and North Carolina. Winter Guard
International (WGI) is a national circuit that includes
groups from across the country.
2007 Drumline
season:
Welcome to what promises to be another great season of
Indoor Ensemble. There are currently 34 students registered in this class.
The title of the program is "Third Eye." It draws from several different
sources, primarily contemporary pop and progressive rock music. The three
main movements outside of the intro and tag are as follows: Telescope/Focus,
Kaleidoscope/Color, and Microscope/Magnify. There will be plenty of visual
and musical correlations referencing the all-seeing eye pyramid as well as
the different parts and devices of the human eye; irises, globes, bending,
refracting, etc.
